This Cinema One Originals 2017 film features Agot Isidro, Anna Luna, Jojit Lorenzo, and Sandino Martin in an entertaining and melodic depiction of love’s universality, an adaptation of Vincent de Jesus’ hit stage musical “Changing Partners.”

The film revolves around four stories of one couple with a 15-year age gap. It features twosome Alex (Agot, Jojit) and Cris (Anna, Sandino) that are at times heterosexual, other times gay, representing parallel nature of relationships regardless of gender— from falling in love to getting heartbroken.

“Changing Partners” took home eight awards from Cinema One Originals, including Audience Choice and Ensemble Acting. Agot and Jojit nabbed the best actress and best actor nods, respectively, while Dan Villegas was hailed as Best Director.

It also earned two wins from the 2018 FAMAS Awards, including Best Actress for Agot and Best Adapted Screenplay for Vincent de Jesus and Lilit Reyes, citing how the film has reinvented Vincent’s original play into a clear cinematic work with ingenious storytelling.

The musical likewise earned five awards from the PMPC Star Awards for Movies, including Best Indie Director for Dan.

Join the incredible journey of love in “Changing Partners” on August 5 in Cinema One’s Blockbuster Sunday airing at 7 PM. For updates, follow @abscbnpr on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram or visit www.abscbnpr.com.
