Sometimes, some news are too exaggerated.
At the presscon of his movie “#Y” at ABS-CBN, Elmo Magalona clarified the issue regarding the news that his mom Pia turned down Julie Anne San Jose’s request to have him perform as guest in the concert. “I’m not snubbing her. Nagbabatian kami when we see each other at ‘Sunday All Stars’. Suportado ko ang concert niya kaya lang may iba na akong commitment on that day kaya hindi ako puede.”
Elmo is Julie Anne’s erstwhile love team partner and some fans are still expecting Elmo to appear on Julie Anne’s biggest concert so far. Though he already has Janine Gutierrez, real-life and loveteam partner, he denied that he’s intentionally distancing himself from Julie Anne. “Hindi naman. Walang ganun. Nagkataon lang talaga na busy ako. But it’s true na we’re no longer as close as before. E, kasi noon, lagi kaming may number together kaya we rehearse, we perform, nagkikita lagi. But hindi na nga ngayon.”
Elmo is at ABS-CBN for “#Y” presscon because Star Cinema got its release where Elmo play the lead role. Directed by Gino Santos, “#Y” opens November 10 in theatres nationwide. Meanwhile, the confirmed guests in Julie Anne’s Hologram concert at Mall of Asia Arena on December 13 are Christian Bautista, Sam Concepcion, Abra, Frencheska Farr and Jonalyn Viray.
