ABS-CBN actress Angelica Panganiban puzzled netizens after sharing a cryptic post on a ‘Mangga Ice Cream’ in her Instagram story.
The real-life exes Carlo Aquino and Angelica Panganiban, dubbed as CarGel, were reunited in their 2018 film ‘Exes Baggage.’ Since the comeback of the former loveteam, fans could not shake off the hope of the two getting back together.
But at the beginning of the year, issues started to rise in speculating that the child stars are not in good terms after Carlo was rumored to be dating someone else, as seen in photos that circulated online. This heated up when Angelica started responding to bashers on social media implying, “Hindi na kayo makakarinig ng kahit na ano sa akin regarding Carlo.”
However, in an interview with the ABS-CBN News, Carlo clarified that they are currently in speaking terms and revealed that they have not yet reached the point of realizing to rekindle their relationship.
“As long as okay naman kami ni Angge, speaking terms naman kami, okay na ako doon. Kung ano man ang sinasabi ng mga tao, I don’t feel the need to explain anything. Basta yung mga taong nagmamahal sa akin, yung kilala ako, iyon lang ang importante. Naiintindihan nila ako.”
With this, netizens started talking about him negatively, accusing Carlo of just using Angelica to revive his career in the show business industry.
CarGel has been very vocal in clarifying their friendship status even though their closeness in front and behind the camera seems to portray something more. This is what led fans to point out their ‘paasa’ reactions that Carlo had somehow made to Angelica and their fans, Carlo said, “Hindi maiiwasan talaga kasi on and offscreen, maganda kami tingnan, e. Ang nagkulang lang siguro yung pag-uusap.”
And just recently, Angelica featured a puzzling and intriguing post on her Instagram stories where she shared a photo of a mango-flavored ice cream and captioning it as, “MANGGA – Ice cream, hindi gamit.”
