A heart-warming story titled ‘Family History’ is an upcoming GMA Pictures movie, which celebrates the value of life, family, and marriage. This will be directed by Michael V. and is set to be created under GMA Pictures and his production company, Mic Test Entertainment.
The man behind the film, comedy genius Michael V., will not only be the director but will also be the writer, producer, and one of the main actors as well. He stated that he wanted to be hands on since it will be his comeback movie, about 10 years since his last project. He also wanted to show people that there can be more than just the usual comedy film that is being screened.
“I could have chosen an easier project to do. Pero para mapakita sa tao na may kakayahan din tayo sa paggawa ng ganitong klaseng pelikula.”
He added. “Para sa akin, sayang ‘yung opportunity eh. Na pwede kang magbigay sa kanila ng panibago naman. Comedy pa rin, nandito ‘yung gusto nila, pero may dinagdag kang konti.”
During Bitoy’s contract signing with the GMA Network, he expressed that being in the four-role state is actually a good pattern when making a movie. For him, it can be the best standard when it comes to directing and narrating a story.

“Even before sumalang ako as director dito sa project na ito, andami ko nang natutunan eh na parang, ang kulang na lang is for me to apply it, application na lang ang kulang. And kating-kati na nga ako na gawin eh at ma-prove na, ito kayang mga theory na ito ay magwo-work sa actual na environment sa paggawa ng pelikula. And for the past two shooting days na ginawa namin, I would say na oo! Nagwo-work, and sana maging standard na hindi lang sa pelikula gagawin ng GMA Pictures and Mic Test Entertainment, kundi pati na rin sa buong industriya. Sana maging ito na ang standard.”
Though he added that this standard may not be the best way, but it is a good pattern to apply for filmmakers.
“Hindi ko naman sinasabing the best itong standard na ginagawa namin, but it’s a standard na magandang gawing pattern para sa lahat ng paggawa ng pelikula.”

The movie together with Michael V. will star John Estrada, Paolo Contis, Bianca Umali, Miguel Tanfelix, Nonie Buencamino, Ina Feleo, Kakai Bautista, Mikoy Morales, Nikki Co, Vince Gamad, Jemwell Ventinilla, and Dawn Zulueta. There will also be special cameo roles from primetime king Dingdong Dantes and multi-awarded comedienne and TV host Eugene Domingo.
