After the success of My Special Tatay, Ken Chan and Rita Daniela are set to return to TV in September, this time to headline a romcom on primetime.
The on-screen love team BoBrey made the announcement in a Facebook video, where the duo described their upcoming project One of the Baes as a “millennial fairytale.”
Rita plays the role of Jowalyn or Jowa as the lead character in the rom-com series. After the success of My Special Tatay, does she feel pressured to make her new project a ratings success as well?
“A bit, of course. But I am confident in a way that this is a God-given project so I’m confident that everything will be okay kasi everything was so smooth,” she said.
According to Rita, One of the Baes offers a new perspective as it features the life of seafarers.
“Walang naging problema at all, I’m more of excited because bagong-bago siya at first time magkakaroon ng ganitong klaseng konsepto na ipapalabas sa telebisyon na tungkol sa maritime industry.
“Yun pa lang, very exciting and interesting,” Rita added.
