Rafael Rosell is returning to ABS-CBN after his seven-year stay at GMA Network.
In an interview on late-night talk show Tonight with Boy Abunda, Rafael opened up about the idea of working with previous love team partners Denise Laurel and Jodi Sta. Maria.
He answered a fan tweet asking if it was possible for him to work with Denise again to revive their love team RafNise.
“As of now pina-finalize lang po namin ‘yung mga upcoming projects but that’s all I can disclose for now. Sana abangan niyo because it’s really going to be fun,” the actor answered.
Their love team became known because of the 2010 series Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Midnight Phantom and Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Martha Cecilia’s Kristine in 2011.
Currently, Denise is part of the hit action series FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano portraying the role of Police Major Alex Romero.
Apart from Denise, Rafael and Jodi have also worked together on the 2011 series 100 Days To Heaven. According to Rafael, he is also open to team up again with the Sino Ang May Sala?:Mea Culpa star.
“I would love to. Ang tagal ko ring hindi nakakatrabaho si Jodi. Ang sarap ng trabaho namin sa 100 Days To Heaven. Very powerful actress, iba ang caliber niya,” Rafael said.

He will now make his comeback as a Kapamilya with an Ipaglaban Mo episode with JM De Guzman this Saturday, July 27.
The actor dished out some interesting details about his dramatic episode in the legal drama anthology.
“The episode we shot together with JM de Guzman at marami pang iba. It’s about two brothers. It’s called Utol. Yung isang kapatid very ragged, hindi masyadong sumusunod sa mga utos ng magulang, very bad boy. Tapos ako naman yung character ko is a good brother na mabait, nakikinig sa mga magulang.”
Rafael and JM’s episode will tackle the case of falsification. This episode will also serve as a reunion project for Rafael and JM who previously worked together on Precious Hearts Romances series Midnight Phantom and Kristine.
The actor started his acting career in ABS-CBN as one of the leading men of Jolina Magdangal in Star Cinema’s Kung Ikaw Ay Isang Panaginip in 2002.
Then his big break came in 2004 when he was paired with Claudine Barretto in the ABS-CBN fantaserye Marina.
He was best known for playing Brandon Brazil in the ABS-CBN romance drama Midnight Phantom (2010), Marco De Silva in Kristine (2010), and as Mayor Edson Zaguirre in Dahil Sa Pag-ibig (2012).

He decided to transfer in GMA Network in 2012 and top-billed several Kapuso shows such as Maghihintay Pa Rin (2013), The Borrowed Wife (2014), Second Chances (2015), Because of You (2015-2016), Sinungaling Mong Puso (2016), and Impostora (2017).
His guest role in the recently concluded drama series Dragon Lady marked his last project with GMA Network.
