‘Nang Ngumiti ang Langit‘ is still leading in the pre-noontime slot based on the data released by NUTAM from October 7 to 11, 2019.

‘Wait Lang…Is This Love?’ on Wagas opened the week with 5.0% versus ‘Nang Ngumiti ang Langit‘s’ 6.1%. JakBie’s episodes drew more viewers compared to the initial offering story of ‘Wagas‘ which only got an average of 3-3.5% in a month of airing.

‘Nang Ngumiti ang Langit’ previously enjoyed a double-digit lead during Mike Tan and Sunshine Dizon’s ‘Wagas‘ episodes, and the ratings now are getting closer as ‘Wagas‘ presents ‘Wait Lang…Is This Love?’ topbilled by Barbie Forteza and Jak Roberto continuous to improve.

‘Wait Lang…Is This Love?’ recorded its lowest rating of 4.3% while ‘Nang Ngumiti ang Langit‘ got 5.7% on Tuesday (October 8).

JakBie’s ‘Wait Lang…Is This Love?’ features the story of Yummy Bubuyog (Barbie), who is already 21 years old but has never experienced what it’s like to be in a relationship. She is the “no-boyfriend-since-birth” type of girl, though she claims that this is “by choice” because of her two strict and overprotective man-hater aunts: Tita Gloria (Yayo Aguila) and Tita Sonya (Tina Paner) who have taken care of Yummy since her mother, Leticia, passed away.

Good thing Yummy has the company of her friends—the sassy and ‘woke’ Bane (Ayra Mariano) who works with her in “Walang Ka-Pares” as an all-around staff member—and the handsome and mischievous Eugene (Jak Roberto), Yummy’s childhood friend and the object of her ‘puppy love’. Her unrequited feelings faded as they grew up but little did Yummy know that Eugene is already developing feelings for her now that they are older.

The lives of Yummy’s family and friends are about to be turned upside down the moment rich realtor Rex (Rey PJ Abellana) and his nephew Cedrick (Kristoffer Martin) arrive in Valenciana.

In this week’s episode of ‘Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit,’ Divina apologized to the Villalunas for making their lives a living hell as she was plagued by guilt. Armed with good hearts, the Villalunas accept the Salvador matriarch’s apology and offer to help her retrieve her granddaughters from Katrina. Soon, Katrina employs distraction tactics to gather the Villalunas in one place. Compelled to stay inside their abode, the Villalunas watch in horror as Katrina executes her vile plan against them.

Ruth suffers from contractions after being threatened by Katrina’s advances. Worried about her safety, Benjie resolves to protect his wife no matter what happens. Mikmik lifts up Joseph’s spirits by reassuring hom that he is strong enough to take care of his mother.

Meanwhile, Divina receives a call from Katrina demanding a price in exchange for Amber and Britney. The Salvador matriarch is left with no choice but to do what she deems is the right thing.
