Recently, Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto slammed an unnamed former PBA player for cursing and screaming at City Hall staff as they distributed financial aid.

In a live Facebook session on Tuesday, Sotto said that the former player living in Pasig Green Park Village must have felt that cash assistance was too small and began to curse the staff.

In an interview of Mariz Umali of 24 Oras, Roger Yap who was the unnamed former PBA Player aired his side and clarified that he did not get angry with the city hall personnel,

According to Yap, no cursing has happened rather he only told the city hall personnel that they were wrong to distribute food coupons instead of relief goods.

On the other hand, the Pasig City Mayor can’t contain his disappointment on the alleged cursing at a personnel of the Pasig city government.

“Merong isang instance, taga-Greenpark. Minura-mura ‘yung team leader natin, bakit daw ganun lang ‘yung pinamimigay,” Sotto said.

Mayor Sotto aired his disbelief that some people have a sense of entitlement in this time of crisis.

“Yung sense of entitlement ng ibang tao, grabe talaga.

But Yap clarified that he and Sotto already talked to each other with the help of Mark Pingris, but still believes that he was the ‘victim’ in this said incident,

Because of this incident, netizens bashed the former PBA player on social media platforms.

With the backlash that Roger received, he called them out to stop bashing him
