The young artist, however, decides to stay with TV5 — the network that “helped her to be where she is today”.

With Jasmine’s decision to remain a Kapatid, TV5 will surely have a lot more to offer that will further help the actress develop her talent and explore her potentials as a versatile artist.

Definitely the fastest rising star of her generation, Jasmine received various offers left and right. A homegrown TV5 talent and hailed as one of the network’s primetime princesses, Jasmine starred in TV5’s remake of the hit action-romance film Ang Utol Kong Hoodlum and played the role of Epifania “Anya” Dionisio in Nandito Ako, where she co-starred with Eula Caballero and American Idol Season 7 runner-up David Archuleta.

She also starred in TV5’s action series Undercover which was topbilled by Derek Ramsay. She now hosts the first ever social media music show, SPINNation, which airs LIVE every Saturday, 11:00PM on TV5.

Highly-acclaimed for her superb acting in the recent Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival, Jasmine Curtis Smith has become one of the most sought-after actress of her generation.

After making a successful debut on the indie screens, Jasmine already caught the eye of different film critics and experts in the entertainment industry. In the Cinemalaya Best Picture Transit,  Jasmine played as Yael, an OFW’s daughter who is not familiar with the Filipino culture because she was born and raised in Israel. She bagged the Cinemalaya Best Supporting Actress award for the New Breed category entry, and the film eventually became the country’s official entry to the Academy Awards.

Jasmine’s first indie film is the psycho-thriller indie film Puti, an entry to the first CineFilipino Film Festival, which came later this year after Cinemalaya. In the film, she played the role of Nika, an art student who helps an art forger in his schemes in exchange for the latter’s mentorship.

With over a million followers on social media, Jasmine is also one of the most popular young stars we have today. Her influence among the youth makes her one of the most bankable celebrity endorsers. A freshman in Ateneo, Jasmine does her best to balance her career and her studies. She also devotes her free time in various advocacies and volunteers for cause organizations such as WorldVision.
