Kapamilya actress and singer Karla Estrada responded to Vice Ganda’s joke about her being part of a fraternity. Vice said that Karla was paddled in a fraternity which explains why her legs are so swollen.
In a video clip posted by ABS-CBN Entertainment, Vice mentioned the name of Karla Estrada when they were talking about fraternity in a segment of ABS-CBN’s ‘It’s Showtime.
“Si Karla Estrada dati nung nakilala ko, akala ko talaga pumasok ng fraternity,” Vice said.
The comedian then said that he asked Karla whether she received the ceremonial paddling in a fraternity saying, “‘Na-paddle ka no?'”
Vice’s co-hosts in the show then asked him about why he claimed that Karla was a part of a fraternity.
Vice quickly replied saying, “Namamaga ‘yung legs eh” which made his co-hosts Vhong Navarro, and Jhong Hilario burst out with laughter.
Karla heard about Vice’s joke about her that’s why she took to social media to express her opinion by retweeting the post from the ABS-CBN entertainment Twitter account.
She didn’t find the joke offensive as she playfully replied, “Ahhh ganon? tekaaaa!!!” using emojis of a face with rolling eyes and face sticking out their tongue.
Vice Ganda and Karla are close friends and they constantly joke with each other. He even mentioned that he misses Karla on the show.
“I miss Karla. Pa-lechon ka nga dyan, mars. I miss you!” Vice said.
Vice Ganda and Karla Estrada have been close friends even before the two entered the showbiz industry. In an interview with the morning show ‘Umagang Kay Ganda‘, Vice revealed how their friendship started.
He said that Karla has been a regular customer and fan even back when he was still a stand-up comedian in comedy bars. He also said that Karla and her friends would often stay longer in the bar even after scheduled performances were over, request songs, and give tips to the comedians as a way of helping gay performers earn a little more.
Vice even posted on Instagram about how much he treasures their friendship of more than two decades.
