Kapamilya love team Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil are set to do a new project with the Kapamilya network in early 2021.
In an interview with Karen Davila on ANC’s Headstart. Liza shared that they already had several meetings with Star Cinema and ABS-CBN executives for an upcoming project this coming 2021.
“I did have multiple meetings with Star Cinema and also with other executives in ABS-CBN and they have pitched multiple stories actually to me and Enrique (Gil). By October I won’t be doing anything yet but early next year definitely,” Soberano said.
In the same interview, Liza also shared her gratitude towards ABS-CBN for the offers that they are giving her despite what the network is going through right now.
“That is true I have received offers and I’m grateful for them but I told my manager Tito Ogie (Diaz) that for now I want to be here and support ABS-CBN, especially at a time like this. I think what they need is unity and they need to see that they are supported by the people that have been there with them since the beginning,” Soberano said.
Liza also added that with the support ABS-CBN is giving her, she has nothing but respect and support for the network and that’s the reason why she opted to remain Kapamilya despite having several offers from other networks.
“I have nothing but respect for everybody at ABS-CBN and I just want to continuously support them because I believe that one day we’ll be back and stronger and better than ever,” added Soberano, who stressed that she has “faith and trust” in the company.
Last August, Liza’s talent manager Ogie Diaz confirmed that other networks have shared their interest to get Liza.
“GMA expressed their interest. TV5 also and ‘yung Viva. Nagbigay sila ng kanilang interes. This is a good problem for us pero siyempre priority muna namin ang ABS-CBN,” Ogie said.
However, Ogie also said that ABS-CBN committed to retain its popular loveteams.
“Actually, ang LizQuen ay isa sa mga hindi binibitawan ng ABS-CBN. As per Tita Cory Vidanes, nung nakausap ko, gumagawa naman daw sila ng paraan kung paano maitatawid ‘yung mga love teams na pinoprotektahan nila at sinesecure talaga nila. Alam naman natin ang KathNiel, nandiyan iyan. Ang LizQuen andyan din.”
