Celebrities united to support Angel Locsin after the actress was body-shamed by a teacher who made a Department of Education (DepEd) module.

Since the module became viral and was called out by netizens for not being a good example for students, the Department of Education (DepEd) immediately apologized for yet another controversial distance learning module.
“We would like to express our sincerest apology to the concerned individuals who may have been offended or harmed by this incident,” Capa said.
“The Department of Education does not tolerate nor condone any act of body shaming, ad hominem or any similar act of bullying both in the physical and virtual environments.”
UPDATE: After hours of the release statement from the Department of Education, Angel Locsin broke her silence and issued her statement but not towards the obese comment but to the Department of Education.
For Angel, the ‘obese’ comment doesn’t define her but what caught her attention is how DepEd seems to be ‘unaffected’ by the principles that the controversial physical education teacher promoted,
“I don’t mind the insults. Cheap comments do not define who I am. I intended to ignore this issue, but when I read deped’s statement, aba teka lang.”
“What bothers me most is apart from teaching incorrect grammar to the students, DepEd seems unaffected that the said teacher is teaching bad conduct and sowing discrimination among the children.”
The actress hopes that DepEd will be accountable for this action and hopes that the teacher should even apologize to the students for what he wrote on the module, “Anong mangyayare sa future kung ang mga kabataan ay tinuturuan ng pambabastos at pangungutya sa kapwa? This is the more relevant issue deped, that you should be held accountable and must correct. Sa inyo naka salalay ang pag asa ng ating milyon milyong kabataan.
“The said teacher should apologize to his students and all the students that read the module. I am fortunate that I had teachers who value good manners and right conduct. Every child deserves to have teachers like them.
