Many are wondering why Pinoy Rapper Abra has to apologize on It’s Showtime!

On Saturday, February 27, during the said Kapamilya noontime show, Abra had a guest appearance as one of the mystery singers in their Hide and Sing episode.

After revealing that he’s the secret celebrity singer, he said, “Magandang magandang tanghali madlang people. Maraming salamat sa pagtanggap nyo dito at pasensya na sa kung ano man ang nangyari sa nakaraan.”

Without knowing the reason behind his apology–it surprised many.

So, why did Abra apologize during the show?

In 2016, Abra and It’s Showtime was put in an awkward situation after Abra threw cursed words on live TV.

Abra sat as one of the judges in the show’s Christmas Rapper Grand Finals.

During an impromptu rap, Abra unwittingly uttered ‘Pak-yu’ together with the finger gesture which immediately alarmed the hosts and the show’s staff.

Vice then quickly apologized and joked about it saying “Ang management, alam kong kinakabahan na rin.”

“Itigil na natin ito at ‘wag uulitin.”

Abra at the end of that segment also apologized saying it was freestyle rap that’s why he wasn’t able to control the words that he uttered.

“Pasensya na po. Kasi freestyle at mabilis e,” Abra said.
