Bristol rockers The Hideaways are dropping their second single of the year so far with the powerful, “You’re Everything”. Released after the warm reception to their previous track, “Soho Bedroom Party”, The Hideaways have revolutionised their sound within this new offering.
Known for blending together a combination of raging guitars and powerful rhythms, The Hideaways are now leaning heavily onto their dark and futuristic electronic influences. Continuing their relationship with producer Matt Glasbey (Editors, Zooni and Marmozets), “You’re Everything” is a dynamic and feisty track that features a soaring electronic soundscape, framed by splintering percussion and electrifying guitar tracks. This anthemic single is filled with a youthful and irresistable energy that will no doubt captivate any audience that encounter’s it.
“It’s the most electronic song we’ve recorded so far. We’ve flirted with that side of things before but with “You’re Everything” we really wanted to lean into it and get all glitchy and frantic.” Danny explained, “Obviously we made sure to keep boatloads of guitars in it and Jack is still battering his drums just in case people are worried that we’re turning into a Depeche Mode tribute act.”
Like many others, The Hideaways’ live plans were derailed by the events of 2020, but as the music industry begins to open their doors again the future is looking brighter than ever before for the quartet. After their appearance at New Colossus Festival 2020 was cut short, they are planning a return to the stage much closer to home, with a headline show at Bristol’s Rough Trade November 20th.
Endlessly energetic and entirely unpredictable, “You’re Everything” perfectly captures the pulsing and powerful talent of this remarkable emerging band.
