Apparently, young actress Miles Ocampo and Bimby Yap, son of actress Kris Aquino, have this sibling connection. Kris Aquino declares Miles as her daughter while Bimby affirmed that he considers Miles as her sister.
However, the closeness between Miles and Bimby was painted with malice. Bashers were too quick to disseminate fake news about Bimby impregnating Miles.
On May 04, 2021, Miles posted a selfie of her via Instagram story as what seems to be an answer to the malicious speculations.
In her photo, Miles has her eyebrow raised as a sign of disbelief. She then wrote “2021 na… naniniwala ka pa din sa fake news???”
With so much fake news spreading, the rumors about Miles being pregnant have reached the YouTube community.
A number of vlogs with false speculations about Miles and Bimby sprouted. Aside from the pregnancy issue, bashers spread also fake news about Miles and Bimby’s engagement.
Talent manager and showbiz reporter, Ogie Diaz was able to notice such fake news about Miles and Bimby.
He slammed bashers and YouTubers as they were spreading false speculations. This time, he decided to criticize the said vlogs.
Diaz got furious about this controversy.
“Utang na loob! Yung nabuntis si Miles — para makagawa ng issue, para magkaroon tayo ng views sa ating channel. Utang na loob tigilan niyo yan,” in desperation to stop the spread of fake news, he begged those who initiated to spread such fake news to stop doing it.
“Kailan kayo hihinto! Nakakaloka kayo!”
He then reminded everyone to stop being gullible while coming across this kind of malicious video.
“Huwag kayo basta-basta maniwala lalo na kung voice over lang ang nagaganap. May videos, pero imbento po ang mga ginagawa nila. Ay naku, jusko!”
Diaz defended Bimby from the bashers’ unsavory words. These bashers are too insensitive that they forgot Bimby is a minor.
“Kawawa naman yung bata, nagiging subject sa ganitong usapin.
“Kahit anong hina ni Kris, babangon at babangon ‘yan para ipagtanggol at idepensa yung anak para protektahan si Bimby.”
The truth is, Bimby is only sweet and clingy. Miles is considering him as her little brother. Bimby was raised by Kris. Growing up, Bimby is a wonderful 14-year old kid as he is thoughtful and sweet.
