Blessings are surely flowing as Zanjoe Marudo and Jodi Sta. Maria gets to star in another primetime project, one after another.

The two Kapamilya stars will get to top bill the Filipino adaptation of the hit British drama series, ‘Doctor Foster’ titled, “The Broken Marriage Vow” along with Sue Ramirez.

Zanjoe just finished doing ABS-CBN’s ‘Walang Hanggang Paalam’ which ended last April 16, 2021. Meanwhile, Jodi was part of the Kapamilya Network’s ‘Ang Sa Iyo ay Akin’ that aired its final episode earlier this March 19.

Jodi will be playing the role of Dra. Jill Ilustre, a doctor and family woman who finds out that her husband is having an affair with another woman.

The actress’s character is originally Jemma Foster in the British version.

On the other hand, Zanjoe will play the husband of Jill Ilustre, David Ilustre, who is Simon Foster in the British version.

As a result, several Netizens congratulated the artists for yet another blessing that come their way.

A Netizen, though was gearing for Bea Alonzo, Gerald Anderson, and Julia Baretto to lead the cast of the series, was still excited to see Jodi, Zanjoe, and Sue, play their respective roles in the upcoming Filipino adaptation

Another Netizen was glad to see Jodi and Zanjoe in the Filipino adaptation of Doctor Foster.

Another also congratulated the cast of The Broken Marriage Vow for being chosen in this Filipino adaptation of Doctor Foster.

A Netizen even claimed that the lineup of the cast is a win as Jodi, Zanjoe, and Sue are the “perfect combination” to lead the show.

Some even claimed that the cast headed by Jodi, Zanjoe, and Sue were perfect for the show.

However, not everyone was happy to see Jodi and Zanjoe lead the Filipino version of Dr. Foster since they just finished their respective shows in the Kapamilya Network.

Nevertheless, a Netizen defended the two, stressing that they deserve the roles. She said that Jodi and Zanjoe did not leave the Network after losing their franchise. Thus, the projects that they get are well-deserved because of their loyalty.

In June 2020, the South Korean adaptation of the original series, “The World of Married”, was aired by ABS-CBN, pleased the Filipino audience. As a result, on April 13, 2021, the Network and the one behind the hit show, BBC Studios, forged a deal to make a Filipino adaptation, leading to “The Broken Marriage Vow”.
