The cast of ‘Viral Scandal’ has defended former fellow Kapamilya artists who chose to transfer to other networks amid the ABS-CBN shutdown and COVID-19 pandemic.

On November 9, Charlie Dizon, Dimples Romana, Joshua Garcia, and Jake Cuenca have candidly spoken in the ‘Unscripted’ interviews, defending the Kapamilya artists who opt to leave the network.

Dizon implied it is part of their growth as an artist to try something new.

“At the end of the day, kailangan mo pa rin mag-uwi ng pagkain para sa pamilya mo, eh.

Cuenca stated that what matters is that they could provide a meal on their table at the end of each day, saying that they might not have saved enough for a crisis.

“Siguro iyon ‘yung way nila to cope sa nangyayari sa atin, sa sitwasyon natin ngayong pandemic. Lahat tayo, parang feeling natin naabandonahan tayo, parang wala tayong ginagawa,”

Cuenca said that it might be their way of surviving a pandemic.

“For me, at the end of the day, maliit lang naman ang industriya. Magkikita-kita rin naman tayo ulit. Magkakatrabaho tayo ulit. There are still movies,” He added.

Romana shared her thoughts regarding the network wars, saying that the thought of rivalry should be put aside.

‘Viral Scandal’ will be aired on ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida lineup starting November 15. Be sure to check it out!
