Darren Espanto opened up about his past relationship. It was an experience that made him go through the pain of a breakup.
In a rare instance, Espanto talked about his love life during his YouTube interview with Bernadette Sembrano that premiered on January 22.
The Kapamilya singer talked about his ex-girlfriend but did not disclose whether she was a celebrity or not.
“I feel like I don’t have to reveal it for the fans to kind of know who my past was,” he said.
When asked about what he felt after he broke up with his girlfriend, Espanto said that he felt bitter about it but eventually moved on.
“Breakups are hard pero, of course, there will be hard feelings at first pero as you move on, nagiging civil kayo and eventually like ‘yung iba naging kaibigan ko.”
He then revealed that he is not in a relationship right now.
Previously, he got linked to Cassy Legaspi after fans noticed their closeness.
During their impromptu Instagram live stream on November 11, 2021, Legaspi dropped a hint about her relationship with the Kapamilya singer.
“Ayan, malinaw na daw. Thank you,” Cassy said as a feedback to fans who asked about their live stream.
She then quipped, “Parang relationship namin, malinaw na.”
Currently, he’s a regular performer in the Sunday variety show ASAP Natin ‘To.
