On October 12, Kapamilya artists Ergyhyll Jeric Panganiban and Sophie Reyes expressed support for Rhys Miguel and his claims of sexual harassment against Patrick Quiroz.

Ergyhyll Jeric Panganiban, who was part of He’s Into Her, wrote on his Twitter account his encounter with Patrick Quiroz.

“Makikitulog daw siya etc sa room namin sa lock-in taping kasi closed na pinto nila and nung tulog ako nag attempt siya halikan ako and do his thing. “Namimiss ko lang kuya ko” yan sabi niya sakin.”

Reyes, also part of He’s Into Her, expressed support for Miguel’s bravery amid his revelations online.

What you did was so brave. I have no words. But tight hugs and I wish you get all the support and love you need to heal through this.

— Sophie Reyes (@soupwithsophie) October 11, 2022

I think that was a reminder that it’s so important to speak your truth and hold people accountable for their actions.

A netizen expressed dismay over the issue, calling out the former management of Miguel and Quiroz.

Omg! Kung totoo man ito especially the alleged “rape”, then the @ABSCBN @riseartistsph management is seriously fucked up and all the people behind it. Shame on all of you, including the artists/witnesses who never spoke or did anything about it. https://t.co/NL5QMoBRqT

Earlier, ABS-CBN Films released a statement and maintained their stance that they took immediate action when Miguel reported the alleged sexual misconduct of Quiroz.

“Contrary to the claims made by Rhys Miguel on 11 October 2022, ABS-CBN Films Productions Inc. (AFPI) immediately conducted an investigation upon receiving his complaint in December 2020 and swiftly took appropriate action to protect the rights of everyone involved.

“AFPI takes these matters seriously. The safety, dignity, and privacy of our people are our utmost priority.”
