If Chicago has Lollapalooza and California has Coachella, the Philippines has a massive fun and entertainment experience of its own — SUMMER BLAST 2023. Featuring a solid concert line-up, summer-themed attractions, amusement rides, and booths, the excitement truly levelled up at the Philippine Arena Complex, Ciudad De Victoria in Bocaue, Bulacan.

More than 120,000 people arrived at the venue to take part in various summer activities. According to reports, there were no major traffic issues because of the new systems implemented in traffic flow management.

Fans flocked inside the Philippine Sports Stadium to sing along with household names in OPM such as Sponge Cola, Silent Sanctuary, Rocksteddy and Gloc-9.

It’s not just the crowd who enjoyed the show. Gloc-9 writes, “Masyadong masaya! Maraming salamat sa pagmamahal hanggang sa muli!”

Silent Sanctuary also posted on their social media after the concert saying, “It really was a blast!”

The event also featured performances from Soapdish, Bandang Lapis, Sunkissed Lola, Dilaw, Jumanji, Calista, Lunar Lights, Eclipse, Goodwill and Noah Alejandre.

The band Dilaw impressed many with their catchy tunes and the perfect timing of their song ‘Uhaw.’

“We’re super excited, a bit nervous, it’s our first time playing in a venue like this. The idea of playing in a venue like this is very exciting,” said Leon Altomonte of Dilaw.

OPM group Sunkissed Lola also wowed fans with their performance despite this being their first time in such a massive show.

“[It’s] our first time performing sa ganito kalaking crowd. Sobrang overwhelming. Ang solid, ito yung pinakamagandang set-up ng stage,” band members shared after their set.

“It was a surreal experience. Lined-up with legends and icons in the entertainment industry,” writes Eclipse.

A spectacular fireworks display was witnessed after the event much to the delight of the energetic crowd.

The audience also got to see NET25 artists like Quizon CT’s Eric Quizon, Epy Quizon, Boy 2 Quizon, Vandolph Quizon, Bearwin Meily, Gene Padilla, Gary Lim, Martin Escudero, Yow Andrada, Charuth, Billie Hakensonn, Tanya, Donna Cariaga and Isabelle De Los Santos; GoodWill’s Raymond Bagatsing, Devon Seron, David Chua, Smokey Manaloto, Ryan Rems, James Caraan, and Kat Galang, broadcast- journalist Alex Santos, TV host Love Anover, Atty. Sal Panelo, actresses Meg Imperial and Regine Angeles.  The concert was hosted by Alexa Miro, Jiro Custodio and Ai Dela Cruz. Anthony Ocampo and Tonipet entertained the huge crowd during the pre-show.

Before the start of the concert, event-goers were able to visit different attractions such as The Garden, Butterfly Garden, Airsoft Grounds, Museum of Death and House of Mirrors.

Families and friends enjoyed the inflatable, Trade Show, game booths, Water Fun and car show. Amusement rides provided thrill and excitement while others checked out the bazaar and food park.

Music fans who missed the event can still watch it on NET25. The station will post the details in the coming days.

Summer Blast 2023 was made possible through the efforts of Philippine Arena, Maligaya Development Corporation and NET25. It’s sponsors include UnionBank, Purefoods, Salem, Executive Optical, Ketopi Philippines, Reinoldmax (WSG Group), Pepsi PH, Godwin Catering, Sunwealth Land Development Corp., Kettle Korn, Eat’s Tukka Time, Max’s, Pacific Synergy Food and Beverages, Skinny Manufacturing Corp., Moon Leaf, MKS, Nature’s Spring, Kapelonggo, E-asypreneur, Canriv Corporation, YC Yummy Ventures, SSB Food Services Corp., Zandhats Express, Goshi Herbal Coffee and EW Villa Medica.
