TFC Films’ first movie venture “A Mother’s Story” bags 9 nominations

ABS-CBN Star Cinema films dominated this year’s nominations for the 29th Star Awards for Movies by the Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC), with “One More Try,” “A Mother’s Story,” “The Healing” and “The Mistress” bagging multiple nominations, including Movie of the Year and Movie Director of the Year.

The Metro Manila Film Festival best picture winner “One More Try” and the box office hit “The Mistress” led the nominees, with a total of 13 nominations each, including acting nods for the cast. TFC Films’ first movie venture distributed by Star Cinema, “A Mother’s Story”, gets nine nods.

Below is the complete list of nominees. The awards ceremony will be held on March 10 at the AFP Theatre in Quezon City, Philippines.
