The Kapamilya noontime show ‘It’s Showtime’ has surpassed its rival program ‘Eat Bulaga!’
Based on the latest preliminary overnight data from the Nielsen NUTAM People’s Survey, It’s Showtime has once again claimed the noontime throne by beating Eat Bulaga! in TV ratings.
On Friday, June 9, the Kapamilya noontime show recorded a rating of 3.7 percent, 0.4 percent higher than its rival program “Eat Bulaga!” which posted a rating of 3.3 percent.
This is the first victory for It’s Showtime against Eat Bulaga! since ABS-CBN lost its franchise.
Prior to the Kapamilya noontime show’s win, it was noticeable that the show was gradually gaining momentum while the ratings of its Kapuso rival were seen declining after its original hosts, Tito, Vic, and Joey, left TAPE Inc.
On Monday, June 5, It’s Showtime obtained 3.2 percent, compared to Eat Bulaga!’s 5.2 percent.
The following day, Tuesday, June 6, It’s Showtime recorded 3.0 percent against Eat Bulaga’s 4.2 percent.
On Wednesday, June 7, It’s Showtime obtained 3.5 percent against Eat Bulaga!’s 4.3 percent.
And on Thursday, June 8, It’s Showtime had its closest battle, recording 3.4 percent ratings against Eat Bulaga!’s 3.5 percent.
Perhaps the revamped version of Eat Bulaga! was not able to retain its loyal audience, who were fond of TVJ and the Dabarkads, leading them to temporarily switch to It’s Showtime.
