Jane Oineza for MMK ‘Manika’ Episode Finalist Best Performance by an Actress 2013 New York Festivals International Television and Film Awards
“MMK” also shone brighter when the prestigious 2013 New York Festivals (NYF) World’s Best Television and Film named Kapamilya teen actress Jane Oineza as one of the nominees in its Best Performance By An Actress category. Jane was the lead actress in the controversial “Manika” episode last year that shared the tale of a young girl named Nene who was raped by her stepdad in front of her mother.
“It was ‘MMK’ that gave me a big break. It was my first lead role and I really gave my best when I did the episode,” said Jane. “It’s really a huge honor to be part of ‘MMK.’ We all know that each of its episode has a heart and has a lesson to be learned. Each of its tale is really well-crafted.”
