Rumors are swirling around actress Ivana Alawi’s alleged romantic involvement with the mayor of Bacolod City, prompting calls for clarification from showbiz personality Ogie Diaz.
The speculation arose after Ivana hinted at her happiness in her love life during a disclosure made in January, where she mentioned having a partner outside the entertainment industry but refrained from revealing further details.
Recent talk surrounding Ivana’s personal life intensified following reports of her being sighted with Bacolod City Mayor Albee Benitez, both in Japan and Baguio. These rumors were discussed during the February 6 episode of the ‘Ogie Diaz Showbiz Update.’
Expressing concern, Ogie stressed the importance of Ivana addressing the rumors promptly to prevent further escalation and avoid any misunderstandings. Notably, Ivana has been previously linked to a congressman, adding complexity to the situation.
“Mahirap namang husgahan natin si Ivana. So kailangan si Ivana rin ang sumagot niyan. Paano niya lilinawin ‘yan ano. Kung siya nga ‘yung tinutukoy. Kung hindi naman siya, please disregard the previous message,” Diaz remarked.
While hoping that the rumors concerning Ivana and Mayor Benitez are unfounded, Ogie highlighted the potential complications given Mayor Benitez’s marital status with his wife, Nikki.
It’s worth noting that Mayor Benitez also owns Brightlight Productions, a company involved in producing television shows and films.
