Kapuso actor Tom Rodriguez is making his highly anticipated comeback to television, joining the cast of ‘Lilet Matias, Attorney-At-Law.’
Rodriguez will play Atty. Renan Alon in the GMA Afternoon Prime series, opposite lead star Jo Berry as Atty. Lilet Matias.
In an interview with ’24 Oras,’ Rodriguez expressed his excitement about the new role, hinting at his character’s complexity.
“Si Atty. Renan Alon, so ‘di natin alam kung magiging kakampi ba ako o kalaban ni Atty. Lilet Matias dito,” he teased. He also described his character as a “terror teacher” type, with deeper layers yet to be revealed.
Rodriguez took to Instagram to share his gratitude for being part of the series. “So honored to be part of Lilet Matias: Attorney-At-Law and to finally be working with @thejoberry!! What a fun and welcoming group! Happy to also see familiar faces on set and standby area as well 🙂 Thank you God for this opportunity!” he wrote.

This marks Rodriguez’s first teleserye appearance since his 2021 marriage to actress Carla Abellana. His last television series was ‘The World Between Us,’ which aired its finale in January 2022.
In addition to his role in ‘Lilet Matias, Attorney-At-Law,’ Rodriguez is slated to star in another series in 2024 and will soon appear in the upcoming film ‘Huwag Mo Kong Iwan,’ alongside Rhian Ramos and JC de Vera.
Fans are eagerly anticipating Rodriguez’s return to the small screen, adding depth and intrigue to the gripping legal drama, where Atty. Lilet Matias will face her most challenging case yet.
