The complete lineup for the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) has been officially announced, with five new films revealed on Tuesday, rounding out the roster for this milestone year.

The newly announced titles include:

  • ‘My Future You’ starring Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin
  • ‘Hold Me Close’ featuring Carlo Aquino and Julia Barretto
  • ‘Uninvited’ headlined by Vilma Santos, Nadine Lustre, and Aga Muhlach
  • ‘Topakk’ starring Arjo Atayde and Julia Montes
  • ‘Espantaho’ led by Judy Ann Santos and Lorna Tolentino

These films join the first five titles unveiled earlier, with teasers for each shown during the announcement event.

The earlier titles are:

  • ‘And The Breadwinner Is…’
  • ‘Strange Frequencies: Haunted Taiwan Hospital’
  • ‘Isang Himala’
  • ‘The Kingdom’
  • ‘Green Bones’

In addition to the lineup, the event also showcased the commemorative trophy designed by Filipino-American visual artist Jefrë, which will be awarded during the festival’s Gabi ng Parangal.

MMFF Selection Committee head Jesse Ejercito shared insights into the selection process, revealing that the panel deliberated over 70 film submissions. He also noted that some of the films that were not chosen will be featured in the MMFF’s planned Summer Film Festival next year.

The 50th MMFF is set to be a grand celebration of Philippine cinema, with key events including the Parade of Stars on December 15, the Sponsor’s Night on December 21, and the Gabi ng Parangal on December 27.
