‘Tulay ng Pangulo,’ overpriced billion-peso bridge program during the term of former President Gloria Arroyo?

Broadcast journalist Henry Omaga-Diaz will investigate the allegedly overpriced billion-peso bridge program during the term of former President Gloria Arroyo this Thursday (Oct 11) in “Krusada.”

Senator Serge Osmeña III has claimed that the Arroyo administration spent P111 billion on overpriced bridges that are of no use to small populations in far-flung areas in the country.

Henry will roam around Tarlac, Pangasinan, Agusan del Sur, Misamis Oriental, and Ilocos Norte to look for allegedly unused bridges that either don’t connect roads or are not used by vehicles.

Will the administration of President Noynoy Aquino punish former government officials involved with the project in line with its “tuwid na daan” battle cry? What about remote communities in the country that badly need bridges for trade, transportation, and economic development?

Because it takes more than words to take a stand, watch “Krusada” this Thursday (Oct 11) after “Bandila” on ABS-CBN or watch it earlier on DZMM TeleRadyo (SkyCable Channel 26), 9:15 p.m. For updates on the program, follow @krusadaTV on Twitter or like www.facebook.com/Krusada.
