- Marian Rivera will soon be back on GMA 7’s primetime block any time soon now. The Kapuso Primetime Queen leads the cast of a new TV series called “The Good Teacher.”
- Her new series, “The Good Teacher” is reportedly replacing the fantasy series “Mulawin vs Ravena” when it ends soon.
- This will mark as Marian’s return on national TV after taking some respite from showbiz. Her stint as Hara Minea in “Mulawin vs Ravena” was her preparation for this new teleserye.
Marian Rivera’s fans will surely be happy to note that she will be back on GMA Network’s primetime block soon. The Kapuso Primetime Queen is set to star in a new TV series called “The Good Teacher” which will soon be replacing “Mulawin vs Ravena” on GMA.
Marian will be playing a different role this time. She will be playing the role of Mrs. Joanne Sandoval, a school teacher who will be having superpowers whose mission is to fight the dark forces of evil. Since the said series is another action packed adventure, Marian couldn’t help but reminisce those times she had played Mars Ravelo’s Filipino heroine, “Darna.”
“Matagal-tagal na rin mula nung huli akong napasabak sa mga action scenes,” said Marian. She considers her short stint in “Mulawin vs Ravena” as her way of prepping up for her new role in this series.
“Kumbaga sa bagay, siyempre, medyo kinakalawang rin tayo, so super excited ako to do this new series,’ adds Marian.
And since it’s been a while since she’s done a lead role on a TV series, Marian says the most difficult part will be her separation anxiety with her baby Zia. But the Kapuso actress believes it all boils down to time management.
“Siyempre, like any mothers, mahirap para sa akin na iwanan ‘yung anak ko. Hindi rin ako puwedeng mawala sa bahay ng matagal,” Marian reveals. “Kailangan ako ng anak ko. Pero Mommy has to work. Although kahit anong mangyari, family ko pa rin ang priority ko.”
It has been a while since Marian topbilled a regular TV series. Her last full length was the series Carmela: Ang Pinakamagandang Babae Sa Mundong Ibabaw, where she was paired with the Pambansang Bae, Alden Richards. The said TV series was aired back in 2014.
Marian is all excited on her full-length teleserye comeback. She also specifically chose sexy star Kim Domingo to play as her sister in the series.
“The Good Teacher” also stars veteran actress Helen Gamboa, Jillian Ward, Kristoffer Martin, Jerald Napoles, Ash Ortega, Enrico Cuenca, Al Tantay and Julius Esarga who played the young Dingdong Dantes in “Alyas Robinhood” completes the cast.
