Twitter user @RethyRosy shared last July 17 the backstory behind the infamous rape case that shrouded Tawag ng Tanghalan’s former champion Noven Belleza’s career and reputation.
She posted on Twitter screen captures of a lengthy Facebook post while hiding the author’s name and profile picture.
Titled as the “Truth behind the case of Noven Belleza,” the post starts off with a girl named Ana, a moniker used to hide the true identity of the 19-year-old local performer whom Belleza ‘raped’ last Saturday.
The post revealed that Ana was the only confidante that Belleza knew in Cebu and because he’s a foreigner in Cebu, he asked for her help in showing him around.
It wasn’t a problem for Ana, according to the post. In fact, she even let Belleza meet her parents because they are huge fans of his back on his Tawag ng Tanghalan days.
Although close friends with Belleza, Ana apparently has a boyfriend who was also a TNT contender before. He was not able to accompany Ana because he currently has a gig during that time.
It wasn’t also a problem since he seems to be a friend of Belleza as well. After showing Belleza around the city, Ana escorted Belleza home as she is concerned of his well-being.
“Huwag naman po sana kayong mag-isip ng masama. Come on people, aware naman tayo na pwedeng mapahamak si Noven kung mag-isa lang siya,” said in the post.
Ana and Belleza even ate at 7/11 together with her high-school friend and a fellow TNT batchmate. Finally arriving at Belleza’s home, the post said that Belleza was not alone as his other companions and his manager are present in the scene. But after taking a bathroom break, Ana was perplexed as to why the people had suddenly disappeared, and the rest is history.
The post said that Ana defended herself from the perpetrator, but her resistance seemed futile as Belleza was much stronger than her.
Belleza texted Ana after the latter sued him for rape, saying: “Sige sampahan mo ko ng kaso basta ako may pera ako, ikaw wala. Kayang-kaya kita.”
The post even revealed that Belleza’s producer tried to bribe the girl’s family to stop them from pursuing the case, but failed.
Meanwhile, ABS-CBN is still gathering pertinent details regarding the whereabouts of their Belleza who was the grand champion of the network’s singing contest, “Tawag ng Tanghalan sa Showtime.”
