When Art Meets Purpose: AXA Philippines Makes Its Debut at ART SG 2026

Each January, Singapore draws the global art world together. Collectors, curators, and creatives gather at ART SG not only to view museum-quality works, but to take the pulse of contemporary art in Southeast Asia. This year, the fair welcomes a new participant to that conversation: AXA Philippines, marking its first appearance at ART SG as part of a unified regional presence by the AXA Group.

At ART SG, AXA Philippines celebrates the power of art to inspire, connect, and create impact—with Cyril Kongo and his iconic artwork.

While AXA XL, the Property & Casualty and specialty risk division of AXA, returns to ART SG for the fourth consecutive year, having supported the fair since its inaugural edition, ART SG 2026 represents a broader coming together of AXA Group entities across Southeast Asia. Alongside AXA Philippines are AXA Thailand, Krungthai-AXA Life, and AXA Insurance Indonesia, reflecting a shared commitment to nurturing the region’s creative ecosystem and engaging meaningfully with local communities.

At the heart of AXA’s presence is a striking collaboration with Cyril Kongo, the internationally renowned contemporary artist known for blending graffiti, calligraphy, and vibrant abstraction. Created exclusively for ART SG 2026, Kongo’s artwork explores themes of boundless possibility and positive impact, a visual expression of how art can challenge perspectives, spark dialogue, and inspire change. The collaboration builds on a creative relationship that began over a decade ago in Paris, underscoring AXA’s long-standing support for artists who push cultural boundaries.

But AXA’s engagement goes beyond the walls of the fair. Extending this vision of art as a catalyst for social impact, the AXA Foundation for Human Progress will support select local initiatives across Southeast Asia focused on child protection. These initiatives reinforce AXA’s broader commitment to social impact and community engagement, connecting artistic expression with meaningful action beyond the fair.

For AXA Philippines, participating in ART SG is both a milestone and a statement. It signals the brand’s growing role within the regional art and high-net-worth ecosystem, while also reflecting its commitment to purpose-led engagement.

“At its core, general insurance is about protecting what people value most, so they can move forward with confidence,” said Gael Lapie, Chief General Insurance Officer of AXA Philippines. “Guided by our purpose to act for human progress, our participation in ART SG reflects how protection can enable creativity, preserve cultural expression, and support communities in pursuing what matters to them.”

As ART SG continues to shape the cultural narrative of Southeast Asia, AXA Philippines’ debut positions the brand not merely as a sponsor, but as a cultural partner: one that sees art as a shared language, a catalyst for progress, and a bridge between creativity and community.

In a space where aesthetics meet ideas, AXA’s presence at ART SG 2026 is a reminder that art’s true value lies not only in what we see, but in what it moves us to protect, support, and imagine.
