Kapuso actress Ashley Ortega candidly revealed that she once had a misunderstanding with fellow Sparkle artist Faith Da Silva, stemming from a past romantic issue involving an ex-boyfriend.

In the latest episode of the vodcast ‘Your Honor’ aired on Saturday, February 7, Ortega openly named Da Silva when asked about celebrities she had clashed with in the past—clarifying that the issue has long been resolved.
“Hindi naman actually away na malala. Actually, sasabihin ko ’yong pangalan niya… kasi napag-usapan na rin namin. Okay na rin kami ngayon. Si Faith Da Silva,” Ortega said.
She explained that their tension began during their teenage years, when someone she previously dated was later linked to Da Silva.
“Alam mo, sobrang love ko ’yan si Faith. Kasi no’ng mga bagets kami, no’ng teenage days talaga. Kaya lang naman nagkaroon ng beef kasi ’yong ex ko parang naka-date niya,” she shared.
Because of the situation, Ortega admitted she felt that the so-called “girl code” was not followed, leading to awkwardness between them for some time. However, she emphasized that it never escalated into a major confrontation.
“Hindi naman kami nag-away talaga. May wall lang,” she said.
Ortega recalled that the two eventually reconciled years later when they reunited during a workshop.
“Parang after four years, nagkasama kami sa workshop. Siya ’yong lumapit sa akin tapos sabi niya, ‘Ash, sorry sa mga nangyari before.’ Kasi hindi kami nagpapansinan noon after that happened,” she added.
Since clearing the air, Ortega said their relationship has improved significantly, especially after working together under Sparkle and being part of the Sparkle 10.
Ashley chose not to name the ex-boyfriend involved. Prior to her current relationship with Mavy Legaspi, she was previously linked to Lucena City Mayor Mark Alcala and Kapuso actor Juancho Trivino, whom she has described in past interviews as her first love.

Da Silva currently appears in ‘Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre’, airing on GMA Prime and GTV. Ortega, meanwhile, is set to star in the upcoming GMA Afternoon Prime series ‘Apoy sa Dugo’, premiering on March 2 alongside Elle Villanueva, Derrick Monasterio, Thea Tolentino, Pinky Amador, and Ricardo Cepeda.
