Veteran showbiz columnist and talk show host Cristy Fermin announced that she has won the cyber libel case filed against her by actor Dominic Roque.
Fermin directly shared the development after receiving the court’s decision in her favor.

“Anak, nakuha natin ang hustisya, panalo tayo sa kasong libelo na isinampa ni Dominic Roque. Salamat sa Diyos sa paggabay,“ she said in a message to a friend who is an entertainment editor.
The verdict was signed by Presiding Judge Manuel Gerard C. Tomacruz and was received on February 18, 2026.
Roque filed the cyber libel complaint on May 31, 2024, before the Pasig City Prosecutor’s Office. The case stemmed from allegedly malicious statements made by Fermin during an episode of her “Showbiz Now Na” vlog on YouTube.
According to Roque’s camp at the time, the actor’s reputation was hurt and adversely affected by the claims aired on the program.
Following the favorable ruling, Fermin expressed gratitude and attributed the outcome to divine guidance.
As of writing, Roque has not released a detailed reaction regarding the court’s decision.
It can be recalled that actress Bea Alonzo recently withdrew her own libel complaint against Fermin, along with her co-hosts Romel Chika and Wendell Alvarez — a move that was welcomed by the three hosts.
Further details regarding the court’s ruling in the Roque case have yet to be publicly disclosed.
