On their own Alden Richards has already cash in on endorsing a beauty whitening supplement and a direct selling company while Maine Mendoza helps a canned sardines brand and a mobile company through her endorsements.
Together as AlDub, the phenomenal TV duo enjoyed representing a global fast-food chain, a laundry bleach product, a soft drink brand and among others through popular TV commercials virtually shown successively on topnotch TV channels. This has even heightened the popularity of AlDub.
But on the standpoint of other keen observant tele-viewers who noticed that AlDub commercials are not shown entirely on ABS-CBN the hanging question existed as to why ABS-CBN censors AlDub commercials.
Being the hottest product endorsers of today, Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza first few commercials were shot with scenes via split-screen technique following the sequence on how the two are shown on Eat Bulaga Kalyeserye and prior to the epic show on Philippine Arena dubbed as “Sa Tamang Panahon”.
The two split-screen lovers at that time were not permitted to come face-to-face with each other.
For the keen observers these AlDub commercial are not shown completely over ABS-CBN with editing done featuring only either Yaya Dub or Alden Richards. Never will you see both of them together on ABS-CBN via those television commercials.
Many would question as to why ABS-CBN censors AlDub commercials and curious to know the reason for this. The answer will be simple since the said network is just adhering to its own guidelines via a memo concerning airing of TV commercials.
