GMA Network winning the Most Beautiful Day in the Universe and Kapamilya afternoon drama spoiling rival’s debut.
GMA Network’s coverage of the 6th Miss Universe Pageant in the Philippines wins the ratings game based on the latest AGB Nielsen NUTAM survey for January 30 and 31, 2017.
The pageant which crowned Miss France Iris Mittenaere sa Pia Wurtzbach’s successor gave GMA Network 27.1% ratings to beat ABS-CBN’s Miss Universe telecast which only got 13.4% ratings. GMA Network’s Miss Universe telecast was also the number program on Monday January 30 outnumbering former top-notcher “Eat Bulaga!” which settled in second place with 16.5%.
Meanwhile, newest Kapuso afternoon drama “Pinulot Ka Lang Sa Lupa” failed to soar as “The Greatest Love” spoils its debut. The Julie Anne San Jose-Benjamin Alves starrer series scored 11.4% on its pilot, 0.1% short to beat “The Greatest Love’s” 11.5%. On the next day, “The Greatest Love” even widens its lead to 1.8% to beat the newest drama 11.6% to 9.8%.
Anyway, over at primetime, “Encantadia” remains undisputed number 1 primtime program as it continues to beat “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano”, 26.0% vs 24.2% and 25.6% versus 25.1%. “Alyas Robin Hood” also widens gap against “My Dear Heart” 206% to 18.9% and 22.1% to 18.9%.
