Two of the brightest stars from rival networks ABS-CBN and GMA7 will make a movie under Regal Films. These are the hottest stars today who played “Darna” in Philippine TV. The first “Darna” series was played by Angel Locsin. When Angel left GMA and moved to ABS-CBN, it was Marian Rivera who bagged the most coveted role to date for the station. Both versions were widely accepted by the public.
Mother Lily Monteverde of Regal Films, the only movie producer who can bring the Kapamilya, Kapatid and Kapuso talents together in one blockbuster movie is said to be planning to put two of the biggest names in Philippine showbiz – Marian and Angel, in one movie.
As reported in “TV Patrol“, Angel Locsin – Marian Rivera dream project is possible. The theme of the movie is not yet confirmed! But definitely, this will be a great movie.
Mother Lily Monteverde of Regal has expressed her interest in making a movie with the two stars, she even went out of her way to talk to Marian Rivera’s manager Popoy Caritativo and the later confirmed. This is Popoy‘s reply, “Marian and I are open to [the project], pero wala pa talagang napag-uusapan.” While Manay Ethel Ramos, Angel‘s manager, said she have yet to talk with Malou Santos of Star Cinema regarding this possibility.
Collaboration movies between stars of rival networks and film outfits has become the trend in the local film industry. If this movie will push through, it will be a very interesting movie to put these two hottest stars in one movie!

Marian is a super star and so is angel. why can’t filipina showbiz be like hollywood?
