CCTV cameras installed in some areas, not functioning or just for display?

Broadcast journalist Ted Failon looks into complains of some Metro Manila residents that the closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras installed in their areas are either not functioning or have low clarity that render them almost useless in “Failon Ngayon” this Saturday (Jan 25).

Other people also insist that the use of low-resolution CCTV cameras is not helpful in preventing crimes in barangays and end up only as displays.  Ted also looks into the country’s high crime rate and justice system.

He also provides tips on how people can protect themselves against scammers when they do online shopping and examines if collecting lucky charms and observing feng shui practices when welcoming the Chinese New Year really affect people’s lives.

Don’t miss the full report in “Failon Ngayon” this Saturday (Jan 25), 4:45 PM, after SOCO on ABS-CBN with a replay on ANC every Sunday, 2PM. For updates, like its Facebook page at www.facebook.com/failon.ngayon.fanpage and follow its Twitter account via @Failon_Ngayon. Tweet your thoughts and reaction this weekend using the hashtag #FN and #FailonNgayon.
