To be helmed by box-office director Wenn Deramas, Bob Ong’s “Lumayo Ka Nga sa Akin” on the big screen will serve as his reunion with comebacking actress Maricel Soriano (Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy) in the lead together with Heart Evangelista and Anne Curtis. This will also serve as Anne and Heart’s reunion project since “Hiram” in 2004.
“Lumayo Ka Nga sa Akin” is Bob Ong’s most recent bestseller, shooting to the top of the bestseller lists instantly upon its release in December 2011. It’s a laugh-out-loud comedy that pokes delirious fun at mainstream Philippine cinema, specifically the kind of commercial fare that studios like Viva have been making.
