She used to be just a guest performer in different concerts, locally and internationally. Admittedly, said, she was a hesitant performer. But this petite, with very unique-own sense of style girl, never imagine in her whole life that she is getting paid for doing what she love and is able to provide a comfortable life to her family through her God’s gift talent – singing.
KZ Tandingan, the grand winner of The X-Factor Philippines Season 1, is set to stage her first Valentine dinner show entitled “KZ 4 U” on February 14.
During the KZ 4 U blogcon, held at Sapphire A Function Room in Crowne Plaza Manila yesterday, she was mostly asked about her style and music influences. Everyone seems like so curious about her timely-changing hairstyle. We already saw her from blonde to ash blonde to black.
“I want my hair to represent me as an artist.” this BS Biology graduate shared. She also quips that she listens to Zia Quizon’s songs. She used to write songs, but she concedes that she is a very slow writer. Setting her apart from other singers, she is making the sound different. “I wouldn’t be as a person pretending to be someone para lang magustuhan ng mga tao” she said. She is also making sure that she have enough, good sleep and less sweets to take care of her voice.
She might be the most in demand singer of her generation but KZ never forget her family and usually get emotional if her kin is brought up in a conversation especially her younger brother who is very close to her. She considered taking them with her in Metro Manila but she opts not to because she wants their life as normal and as private as possible. “We know that there’s a thin line between private and showbiz life” she added.
