July 16, 2015 (Earl’s Court, London) – Last June, Philippine Independence Day month, Filipino pride was shining strongly and brightly as the ABS-CBN TFC Fiesta Caravan marched merrily to Oslo, Yorkshire, Rome, Morden, Madrid, Dublin and London, for numerous festivals in partnership with Filipino organizations in Europe. It was also in June that TFC@theMovies officially launched at the Prince Charles Cinema north of Leicester Square in West End with the Liza Soberano-Enrique Gil hit starrer, “Just The Way You Are”.
The TFC Fiesta Caravan and the launch of TFC@theMovies in theaters are just two of the promised four-fold celebration of the TFC theme, “Galing ng Filipino”, this 2015.
Come July 18 and 19, ABS-CBN TFC Europe kicks it up a notch by joining forces anew with Filipino community mover Philippine Centre for a powerhouse 31st London Barrio Fiesta at Apps Court Farm Walton-on-Thames near Hampton Court Palace, Surrey.
“What makes this London Barrio Fiesta different this year, you may ask?” said ABS-CBN Middle East, Europe and Africa Managing Director Kai Rodriguez. “Perspective makes all the difference: it’s not what you look at; it’s what you see. The London Barrio Fiesta on its 31st year is not just a 2-day musical festival but an integral part of a continuing narrative of how far Filipinos have come in Europe. It is an iconic representation of our ever-expanding Filipino footprint of culture and influence in the region. That’s how we see this today. It’s not just a picnic in the park with a parade of stars. We’ve come a long way and we acknowledge and celebrate that in a big way.”
The 31st London Barrio Fiesta promises to bring the biggest Kapamilya stars. On July 18 multi-talented Kapamilya Hunk Matteo Guidicelli, R & B Prince Jay R, R & B Princess Kyla, Tacloban City’s pride Reo Brothers join two-day artists Tart Carlos and Vivieka Ravanes for an afternoon of Pinoy music, gaiety and pride.
On the second day, July 19, this generation’s Drama Queen Bea Alonzo, Papa Chen Richard Yap, Dream Dad Zanjoe Marudo, Morisette, and Carlos and Ravanes are set to bring the entertainment meter to stellar heights. Day 2 stars of the London Barrio Fiesta will also celebrate with Marudo as he marks his birthday.
With this year’s line-up of stars and activities, Hermano Mayor Joseph Parinas says the annual London Barrio Fiesta keeps getting better. “What started as a picnic has now become the platform to showcase Filipino talent. What began as a coming together of Filipino offerings has become the center stage for Filipino pride.” Parinas ends,

During the two-day weekend event, Kapamilyas can also grab a copy of the book version of the iconic romance movie “One More Chance” then featuring 31st London Barrio Fiesta day two star Alonzo and movie partner John Lloyd Cruz at the TFC booth. Plus, kababayans can also get their tickets to Pinoy Big Four’s fitting finale ASAP 20 Live in London also at the TFC booth. During ASAP 20 Live in London, TFC Europe also hopes to engage OFs to take a more participatory role in nation-building even while they are in their second homes, through its overseas voting (OV) campaign in partnership with the Department of Foreign Affairs – Overseas Voting Secretariat.
Finally, on the second day of the 31t London Barrio Fiesta, Pinoys can catch the Piolo Pascual – Sarah Geronimo starrer and blockbuster Star Cinema movie “The Breakup Playlist” via TFC@theMovies’ screening at the Archery Hall.
