The second Filipino remake of ‘Marimar’ fails to beat its rival program ‘Nathaniel’, according to data from AGB Nielsen for national urban.
‘Nathaniel’, registered 29 percent last Monday; August 24, 2015, with Shaina Magdayao, Gerald Anderson and child star Marco Masa as part of the powerhouse cast.
‘Marimar’, on the other hand, reached 23.7 percent, with Miss World 2013, Megan young and actor Tom Rodriguez under the direction of Dominic Zapata.
Though, the two did not make an appearance on its premier night, the telenovela has managed to reach high rating but not so strong to oppose the religious-themed drama.
Meanwhile, according to the ratings released by the same data provider for Mega Manila , GMA-7’s ‘Marimar’ registered 25.1 percent over ABS-BN counterpart, ‘Nathaniel’ which only got 20.8 percent.
