On September 26, 2015, the two biggest noontime shows in Philippine TV had their competition when it comes to social media and TV ratings. Still, Eat Bulaga together with their phenomenal love team ‘AlDub’ still reigned conquering both Twitterverse and TV ratings. In astounding numbers “Eat Bulaga” gained 25 million tweets and “It’s Showtime” had almost 7 million tweets.
Even if “It’s Showtime” got tweets and ratings lower than Eat Bulaga’s, Vice Ganda, one of the host of ABS-CBN noontime show, thanked the ‘madlang people’ for coming to their 6th Anniversary that was held in Araneta Coliseum.
However, ”Eat Bulaga’s” host Joey de Leon stated his views on copying of their phenomenal ‘AlDub’ in their “Kalyeserye” segment. He thinks that the other network copied their ideas of having the KalyeSerye segment, which turned out to be a big hit in two months.
Just this month, Vice Ganda and Joey de Leon already posted tweets that ‘maybe’ pertain to one another and their shows.
