A lighthearted remark by pop star Sarah Geronimo during a recent public appearance has sparked online chatter, prompting G Productions to issue a clarification.

The moment happened during the TECNO CAMON 50 Series Earth Day Run, where a video of the singer quickly circulated on social media.
In the clip, Geronimo ended her appearance with a heartfelt message before delivering a playful punchline:
“Stay safe, everyone, and remember: life is short, make each moment count with our loved ones. Kasi hindi natin alam kung nandito pa tayo bukas. Maraming salamat po! Iboto niyo po ako sa susunod na eleksyon.”
Following the viral clip, some viewers speculated that the remark could be a hint at political ambitions.
This prompted G Productions to address the issue and clarify the intent behind the statement.
“The video came from a live event where, as part of her closing spiel, Sarah playfully asked the audience to vote for her in the next election,” the company explained.
“It was a lighthearted moment meant purely for fun and crowd interaction,” it added.
G Productions emphasized that the remark should not be interpreted beyond its intended context.
“Sarah Geronimo is exactly where she wants to be — on stage, doing what she loves, and inspiring people through her talent and artistry,” the statement read.
The company also urged the public to avoid attaching political meaning to the moment.
“We kindly ask everyone to enjoy the moment for what it was and resist adding any political color to an onstage joke,” it said.
Despite the online buzz, Geronimo’s camp made it clear that the singer remains focused on her career in entertainment.
