It’s Showtime celebrated its Animversary today and held its head above water despite facing very strong competition. Their loyal fans are still sticking by them no matter what. And, they have a reason to.
It’s Showtime exhibited today why they have lasted for six years, there’s entertainment value in the program.
Today, in celebration of their 6th anniversary, the program started with the usual production involving the hosts of the show. Karylle, Anne Curtis, and Vice Ganda sang “Titanium” in a lively song and dance number.

Then the love teams made famous by the show, Chard and Pastillas Girl sang Say You’ll Never Go by Neocolours. They were followed by the budding love teams Cjiles (CJ Novato and Miles Ocampo) and Loishua (Loisa Andalio and Joshua Garcia).
Mr.Pure Energy Gary Valenciano came up next and sang the theme “Wag ka Nang Umiyak” of Kapamilya’s newest primetime hit series “Ang Probinsiyano”, which stars Coco Martin and Maja Salvador.
Champions of It’s Showtime contests also came together to give one of the best production numbers of the show. Winners XB Gensan,Ryan Rems, Nicki Minaj Kalokalike, and Jay-R showed the stuff that made them grand winners.
Jay-R was exceptionally cool and sexy when he sang his version of Justin Bieber’s “What do you mean?”.
One of the most touching numbers was when all of the hosts sang “Kahit Maputi na ang Buhok Ko” and dedicated the song to all of their “madlang” people.
Each one of them gave a heartfelt message of thanks to the fans of It’s Showtime. They also pointed out that the friendship among them is something that they will always cherish. Kuya Kim led a sincere prayer for the show.
The most important message came from Vice-Ganda, who said that they knew from the start that they cannot really compete with Eat Bulaga, whose hosts are also their idols. Their only goal, according to Vice, is to make people happy. He said that despite the low ratings, they have to go on because they still have fans who support their show. And that as long as they have one fan waiting for them, they will not give up.
Vice Ganda also asked their followers to stop having squabbles with fans of Eat Bulaga. Because in real life, they are friends.
The last and most awaited part of the show though, was the announcement of the winner for Magpasikat 2015.
The team of Vice Ganda,Jugs, and Teddy won first place, followed by the team of Karylle and Jhong. Third place went to Team Anne, Kim, and Eruption.
It’s the first time that Vice-Ganda’s group won in Magpasikat. They won for their unique presentation which they titled “Optical Illusion”. The charity chosen by Vice-Ganda, Jugs, and Teddy will receive P300,000, which is the prize money for the grand winner.
