Claiming she is a victim of cyberbullying, around 2:15pm today, Celebrity stylist Liz Uy finally filed six (6) counts of online libel and grave slander complaints against Michael Sy Lim of Fashion Pulis at the Office of the City Prosecutor in Makati City Hall.
The six (6) counts of online libel are in relation to the three (3) blog posts and three (3) tweets of Fashion Pulis regarding the gown issue of Maine Mendoza during the “Tamang Panahon” event and the jacket that Maine Mendoza wore on her Preview Magazine shoot.
Below are the screenshots of the alleged posts of Michael Sy Lim to his Blog Fashion Pulis against Liz Uy.
Fashion Pulis posted a statement claiming that Liz Uy made Maine Mendoza wore a recycled Gown on the “Tamang Panahon” event.
Fashion Pulis also posted how Liz Uy Made Maine Mendoza wear the same jacket she wore few weeks ago in Preview Photoshoot
Fashion Pulis also posted a statement that even Francis Libiran already said that Maine Mendoza’s Gown is from his Summer Collection for 2015, the picture of Kim Chiu wearing the same gown in 2013 shows the claim is not true
Aside from the Blog Posts, Michael Sy Lim shared some twitter posts against Liz Uy to Fashion Pulis official Twitter account.
Last October 24, 2015 , Fashion Pulis posted this to their twitter account “It bothers me that Maine’s stylist (liz uy?) made her wear a recycled gown on such a historical TV event”
And on 27 October 2015 FashionPulis posted the following statement to their twitter account: “Insta Scoop: Liz Uy Makes Maine Mendoza Wear Same Jacket She Wore Weeks Ago in Preview Photoshoot”
There was another twitter posts later that day from Fashion Pulis saying “Dear @lizzzuy, stop letting @mainedcm wear hand me downs. She deserves THE BEST!”. However, This post is now deleted by Fashion Pulis.
In regards to the grave slander complaint, It happened Last October 28, 2015 in a dinner event held at Manila Peninsula when actress Isabelle Daza and Preview executive editor Isha Andaya, heard Michael Sy Lim of Fashion Pulis talks about Liz Uy to some guests as he says, “Kung ikaw ‘yung stylist, ipapasuot mo ba ‘yung jacket that you wore two weeks ago? Why did she make Maine wear the jacket she already posted?”
As per the popular celebrity stylist Liz Uy, Michael Sy Lim of Fashion Pulis did not research the correct facts before he post his statements , which resulted the celebrity stylist to be bashed by Maine Mendoza’s fans.
“Kasi pinangalanan niya ako tapos hindi niya chineck muna yung facts niya, right? Kasi alam ko naman na trabaho niya ‘yun, na mag-blog, pero trabaho rin naman niya na icheck muna yung information, mag-fact check muna siya bago niya isulat.” Liz Uy said in an interview.
She also said that she is a victim of cyberbullying as everyday she gets hate mail and hate messages from social media because of what happened.
Under the Cyber Crime Act of 2012, Michael Sy Lim if proven guilty will face imprisonment for six (6) to twelve (12) years and a payment of P11-million civil damages to Liz Uy.
