Rumors says that everyone who gets linked to either Alden or Maine suffers mega-bashing on Social Media from the AlDub Nation including Julie Anne San Jose and director Rich Ilustre of “Sunday PinaSaya of GMA Network”.
According to the article of Ervin Santiago of Bandera, he mentioned about an issue wherein a Kapuso director’s confirmation that Alden and Julie Ann are a couple in turn enraged AlDub fandom. It was also said that the supposed to be confirmation was edited but still the director apologizes to the AlDub fans.
During the Presscon of “My Bebe Love: Kilig Pa More”, 2015 MMFF Entry last December 9, 2015. Alden explained the issues against their avid supporters. Alden said,” Well, it’s not being possessive naman (Well, it’s not about being possessive), they’re just..kumbaga, parang nasaling lang sila (they were just affected), na-hurt yung feelings (their feelings got hurt) because of a rumor that’s not true. And siguro po (and also), respect na lang din po sa mga taong involved ( let us give respect to the people involved), huwag na lang po natin silang pag-usapan, kasi wala naman po sila dito (let us not talk about them because they are not here).”
Leading lady Maine more commonly known as Yaya Dub reiterated that there is no reason to fight and it was just a misunderstanding. Alden also said,” Happy lang, good vibes lang.”
The article of Ervin Santiago in Bandera also states that Alden denied that he has a relationship with Julie Ann and also said that he and Maine are just friends for now. Alden also mentioned that they are both single and it is not impossible for them to be fall in “love” just like their characters in Kalyeserye. He also insisted that he is not courting anyone else and also said “Si Yaya lang (Only Yaya).”
Maine on the other hand also said that she doesn’t have any suitors at the moment.
When asked if she is accepting suitors, she referred back to Alden saying “Kung papayag po si Alden, okay lang po (If Alden agrees, then it is ok)”.
The big question now is, What is really happening with the AlDub love team? Is there really a possibility that they can be “real” sweethearts off screen. I know that the Aldub Nation are hoping that this will be the case sooner or later.
