Avid followers of Eat Bulaga have their favorite segments in the longest running noontime TV show. Often, it’s “Grabe S’ya”, the “Juan for All, All for Juan” Bayanihan portion, or the Kalyeserye which is the most popular segment among millions of AlDub fans. Many were disappointed when Alden Richards was absent from the Kalyeserye for almost a week.
Last week Alden Richards left for a show in the Middle East and took a break from Eat Bulaga. Being a contract star of the GMA Artist Center, he has to comply with all his commitments even if it means leaving Eat Bulaga from time to time.
Alden’s recent absence left many AlDub fans wondering. Was he suspended? Was there a misunderstanding between the Kapuso network and TAPE Inc., the producer of Eat Bulaga? Did Alden’s stint on Eat Bulaga finally end? However, when the Pambansang Bae reappeared, all speculations were laid to rest.
AlDubs fans were happy to see Alden back even if his entrance on the show was nothing grand as he joined the Eat Bulaga cast in the “Grabe S’ya” portion.
In the Kalyeserye portion, Yaya Dub noticed that Alden lost some weight and showed genuine concern to her partner. Everyone who watched the show noticed some changes in Alden’s persona. He was serious and very vocal in expressing his feelings to Maine Mendoza and asked the latter if she missed him. When Alden said “Sasagutin mo na ba ako?” (Will you say yes to me?), the future Miss Barangay beauty queen was caught by surprise and was speechless. Like Yaya Dub, AlDub fans were shocked since it was supposed to be a special moment.

Seeing Alden back on Eat Bulaga has given AlDub fans something to look forward to every day. After yesterday’s Kalsereye, viewers expect the two to be closer since their love story has been growing on Eat Bulaga. It’s been quite a journey for the split-screen lovers and the two will soon celebrate their six-month anniversary together with millions of AlDub fans.
