Internet star Marlou Arizala is now on hot seat over the viral screencap about his talent fee (TF) and how he responded on the invitation by a netizen. The said screencap was posted in a Facebook page Ikaw na! The Best ka eh with caption, “Alam niyo bang, unting unti nang nawawalan ng Career si Marlou sa pinag gagawa niya?”
The leaked conversation received criticisms from the very opinionated netizens. The netizen was actually asking for Marlou to be one of their guest in a party in Caloocan. Marlou replied with his talent fee amounting to ₱10,000.
Marlou Arizala is arguably the most famous member of Hasht5, and as his popularity increase, the number of haters also increase.
Whomever posted this leaked conversation probably has no idea how the entertainment world works. This guy deserves to charge a fee. He might have no manager who handles these requests and can upfront tell someone that Marlou doesn’t work for free (because no one should).
Instead of bashing Marlou, some netizens like Jhelo Lazaro gave Marlou a piece of advice, “A piece of advice: dapat talaga may manager ka, or my taon kakausapin before you, para di ka nababash ng direct. An artist should be an artist, a dancer should be a dancer, a singer should be a singer and a manager should act as a manager. Need mo yan, para my barrier between client and you. Do not hate people, give love. Tao lang lang tayo, di nya deserved ung mga bash.”
JB Jalla on the other hand gave his two cents, “Hindi ako fan or hater.. For me diskarte nya yan eh asking price nya yan hanap buhay nya yan! So kung hindi mo kaya ang 10k eh di wag tantanan mo sya.. Bakit mo ba sya iinvite sa party? Hindi naman kayo close? Tapos pagdating sa party eexpect nyo mangeentertain sya tpos sandamukal na panglalait ang makukuha nya!? Ang tanong sapat ba yung 10k na yun? Kung hindi kaya ang TF nung tao eh di wag.. Ganon lang yun…”
Dhelaine Gomez meanwhile questioned the intention of the netizen who posted the conversartion, “Bkt kelangan pa ipost? Sguro hater ni Marlou. Not a fan pero try to think deeper. Practical lang si Marlou. Kung kayo talent/ artista sympre magpapabayad kayo. Siya nga kung snu sno na nakakasama nyang artista e. Kaya may guts sya para magSabi ng TF. Saka wala namang mali kung nagsabi sya na 10k. Straight forward lang sya. Para ndi na humaba ang usapan. Take it or leave it ang mahalaga snabi nya TF nya. And ano gusto nyo for free lng ung pagiinvite? Or mga below 10k ang TF na ssabhn nya? Maybe just maybe, mapapahiya sya sa event proper. So 10k mababang halaga lang un.”
