After becoming an international hit with her Taylor Swift impersonation, seven-year-old Xia Vigor has stunned again by transforming into rock icon Axl Rose. The talented British-Filipina child took on ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’, the 1987 Guns N’ Roses hit, on talent show Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids.
Vigor received a perfect score of 24 points from the judges. Aside from the P50,000 price money, she also donated P50,000 worth of toys to her chosen charity, Lingap Pangkabataan, Inc.
“You are getting better and better. Tonight you are solid. You are really a sweet child,” said Ogie Alcasid.
“You did amazing and you surprise me. You did so well tonight,” said Sharon Cuneta.
“You really did your best. I was blown away by your performance,” said Gary Valenciano.
Vigor’s cover of Swift made headlines worldwide, but was criticised as “creepy” and “sexualised” by 51-year-old British TV star Piers Morgan.
Meanwhile, Ellen DeGeneres was reportedly quite taken with the act and is seeking to have Vigor perform on her TV show.
