- #TeamLablab is back as #TeamRelate in Star Cinemas’ “Can We Still Be Friends?”

We just can’t wait for “Can We Still Be Friends?” to premiere next week! It will surely ignite our hearts that are once whole and in love then shattered to pieces after.
Anyone can relate to the plot since most of the target audience of this movie already experienced heartaches and breakups.
Some might have asked themselves before if it’s really possible to be friends with someone you had a romantic relationship with.
Earlier at the Blog Conference of “Can We Still Be Friends?” at Tokyo Bubble Tea in Katipunan, the main cast shared some stories of their past breakups.
According to Arci, “There’s no such thing as forever, yes, wala talaga. Pero uh, sa ngayon, dahil nga ex ko na sya, may dahilan kung bakit kami naghiwalay at kung bakit hindi nagwork yung relationship,”
“Bakit mo pa itutuloy ‘di ba?” she added.
As for Gerald, “Pag uwi ko sa bahay, tinitingnan ko ‘yung sarili ko sabi ko, ‘oo nga, may mga mali ka rin nga sa buhay mo’ andun ako sa panahon na ‘yun. Hindi ko naman iniisip na mali ako pero dahil sa movie na ‘to ang daming realizations,”
“It takes two to tango. Ako naniniwala ako na hindi lang dahil sa isang tao kaya hindi nagwowork ang isang relationship.”
Although Director Prime Cruz himself wasn’t present, we got the chance to discuss with Jen Chuaunsu, the screenplay writer of the movie.
They shared how fun it was on the set and that the all got along so well.
Juan Miguel Severo was also there at the event and performed spoken word with us.
His poem “Naniniwala Ako” melted the hearts of our fellow bloggers in the venue.
Former #TeamLablab of their first movie “Always Be My Maybe”, Arci and Gerald are now called as #TeamRelate for their latest.
Both hope to see people in theater lines this coming June 14 for “Can We Still Be Friends?”, a project they worked hard for.
We will definitely be there!
