- The champion of last season’s “Tawag ng Tanghalan” Noven Belleza got arrested by cops in Cebu City for charges of rape
22-year-old Noven Belleza got arrested in Cebu due to a rape complaint. He was in the city for Pusuan Mo si Vice Ganda sa Cebu as a guest performer.
According to police reports, the singer is currently in the hospital because he’s having trouble breathing. Chief Inspector Jacinto Mandal Jr. of Mabolo Police Station confirmed that Noven was the culprit of the crime based on the victim’s complaint.
In the local newspaper, “The Freeman”, Noven made the front page story. The article said that the victim is 19 years old and was allegedly a friend of the singer.
She said that she can’t believe how did Noven managed to do that to her.
“Wala ko nag-expect nga iyaha nang buhaton nako kay buotan man gud kay na siya, pero dili sad ko mosugot nga sayon-sayonon rako niya.” [“Hindi ko inakala na gawin niya yun sa akin dahil mabait siya, pero hindi rin ako papayag na tarantaduhin niya ako.”] the victims said.
She’s determined to file a case against Noven in court and will not compromise for any settlement with his camp.
